The advice “follow your passion” is backwards. Passion is usually a result of getting good at something, not a prerequisite you must discover first.

The case against “follow your passion”

Scott Galloway: don’t follow your passion — find something you’re good at, work hard, get great, and the rewards (money, prestige, relevance, camaraderie) will make you passionate. Do your actual passions on the weekend (happiness notes).
